National Parks in Vietnam
Vietnam currently has 167 protected areas, including 34 national parks. Within that there are total 34 national parks, 6 are under the management of national Forest Protection Department, the remaining national parks are managed by the provinces. Forest rangers are a force that performs the task of patrolling and protecting the forest. Visiting and experiencing national parks requires a fee. For 6 national parks under the management of Forest Protection Department, fee collection is carried out according to Circular 206/2016 of the Ministry of Finance, the remaining national parks are carried out according to provincial gegulations.
From 2024, the Vietnam Forestry Department and the Vietnam National Parks Association will launch a National Park passport program. Visitors can purchase and upon arrival at each park, they can have their stamp stamped at the reception or visitor center.
Coming to each national park or protected area, visitors must strictly comply with regulations and conservation principles; follow the instructions of that national park or protected area.
